The Banquet
Verse 1:
Said the King unto his servant on that day
My feast is almost ready; bring the guests without delay,
But the ones who were invited didn’t come; they weren’t excited
For the cares of life had drawn their hearts away
The king was angry that they would deny his grace,
When suddenly a smile began to form upon his face
Chorus:
Bring the lame, bring the poor
bring them right inside my door
I want my banquet to be tasted
Not a single morsel wasted
Go out again, bring them in
‘Til every place is filled within
Bring me the ones who are not worthy,
So they can know my mercy
Verse 2:
So the call went out to every crippled soul
Come join me at my table; eat my food, and be made whole
Your mistakes may be impressive,
But my grace is more excessive, leave this place and come into my banquet hall
The invitation comes at no expense to you,
But once you are inside, I have some work for you to do:
Bridge:
Who am I, that you would let me in? Tru-ly your mercy has no end
I hear you say again

Maker of Galaxies
Verse 1:
I cried Aloud in my pain
I begged for you explain
You said You’d always do good
And I believed You would
I had You all figured out
That’s when the bottom fell out
When You threw off these restraints
And wrecked my comfortable faith
Verse 2:
Before You I plead my case
Why are you hiding Your face
Show me why this pain is best
Put my complaints to rest
Will Justice wound without cause
Come now and give Your response
From a whirlwind You spoke
My questions vanished like smoke
Chorus:
Maker of galaxies, You don’t answer to me
When You stretched out the sky, You’re asking where was I
You are God alone; You will remain on Your throne
I bow my face to the dust ; It’s here I yield in trust
Verse 3:
In awe I see Your design
Your thoughts are far above mine
For you have named every star
And told the sea come this far
So I put my hand on my mouth
And I fall to the ground
My accusations were blind
I spoke in ignorant pride
Bridge:
I put You to the test
My mouth spoke foolishness
I see Your plans are too high
For me to understand why
You will do what is right
Though far beyond my sight
From these ashes I rise
I’ve seen you with my eyes

Straighten my Road
Verse 1:
I’m a lamb that keeps running’ away
I’m a flower that hides from the day
I’m cloud trying to hold back the rain
Or you could say, I’m a heart full of pain
Verse 2:
I’m a shadow that aches to break free
I’m a road branching out like a tree
I’m a wheel tired of spinning around
Oh I’m a lost soul that will not be found
Can you see that life isn’t working for me
Chorus:
Straighten my road
and point me towards home
‘cause I’ve lost my way
I don’t know where to go
teach my to stay where your clear waters flow
Pull me in close and don’t ever let go
Verse 3:
I’m so tired of living this way
And I don’t know what else I can say
But I’m tired of this fighting inside
And I’m tired of trying to hide
Jesus, see life isn’t working for me

Stolen Property
Verse 1:
Once again I see the disappointed faces
Of all the ones I tried so hard to please
Once again I’m left here wondering what grace is
Trying to hide beneath a covering of leaves
Chorus:
You broke into my darkness with your smile,
And pulled me from my self-inflicted exile
You said “this shame is stolen property”
I bore it in my body on the tree
So Let it go, let it go
Let it go my child, your guilt belongs to me
Verse 2:
Once again I’m forced to look into the mirror
To look my biggest failures in the eyes
Once again I don’t know why you would come nearer
When you can see right through my cleverest disguise?
Bridge:
There is nothing left for you to do;
I won’t hide my face from you
Your debt is paid, your ransom made
I drank the cup, was lifted up, you’ve been set free
Let it go my child, your guilt belongs to me
Let it go let it go, let it go my child,
your guilt belongs to me
